A sense of composure, openness, and professionalism were mandates for the design of this downtown financial management firm. Responding to the highly detailed nature of this business, the design team worked to create an environment that promotes communication among staff and provides respite from the daily workday rigor. An open connecting stair creates continuity and connection between the two floors. An employee café/lounge area emulates a fashionable city restaurant, while a fully equipped gym offers spa-like locker rooms. Finish materials of deep woods, cream plaster and elegant hand-tufted rugs throughout establish a sense of comfort and richness. The entire space is designed to showcase the client’s extensive art collection, lending cultural interest for both staff and clients alike.
